Utility Assistance Grant Program

The Newnan Utilities Foundation’s Utility Assistance Grant Program has been created for customers of Newnan Utilities facing financial hardships due to COVID-19. Funding for this program has been made possible by a generous donor specifically for this cause.

In order to qualify for financial assistance, which will be applied directly to the applicant’s utility bill, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

• Be a Newnan Utilities customer
• Lost employment and income due to COVID-19 or;
• Saw a decrease in income due to COVID-19 or;
• Saw a temporary loss of income due to illness/diagnosis of COVID-19

If you do not meet the criteria above, DO NOT proceed with the application.
Incomplete applications, including missing attachments, will not be considered.

Note: If approved, you are eligible to receive up to $100.00. This grant will be available only one time per customer.

Applications will be reviewed by the Newnan Utilities Foundation Board of Directors on a weekly basis and customers will be notified of the Board’s decision within 14 days of receipt of application by phone, email, or direct mail.
