Newnan Utilities' state-of-the-art compost facility provides an alternative to landfills and the burning of wood wastes. Along with the processing of tree wastes, the facility composts bio-solids from the Wahoo Creek and Mineral Springs wastewater treatment plants. The result is NuSoil, a product useful for landscaping, gardening, agricultural applications and topsoil remediation. NuSoil has been certified as safe and effective by University of Georgia soil experts.
