Newnan Utilities will never call and ask for:
• Payment over the phone
• Your bank account information
• Your credit card number
NEVER give out your bank/credit card/social security/other personal financial information unless you’ve initiated the conversation.
Government/Public Agency Wants to Pay Your Bill
NEVER give out your bank/credit card/social security/other personal financial information or Newnan Utilities account number to an unsolicited caller.

No such program exists.
Visitor to Your Home Requesting Payment
Newnan Utilities will never send an employee to your home or business to ask for payment, bank information, or social security information.
Request to Enter Home
If you haven’t called to request service or are not expecting a visit from Newnan Utilities, request proper identification. Our employees will:
• Wear a Newnan Utilities uniform and/or
• Arrive in a Newnan Utilities vehicle with our logo and/or
• Present an ID with their name, photo, and Newnan Utilities logo
NEVER let someone you suspect to be impersonating a Newnan Utilities employee into your home. If you suspect someone at your door is impersonating a Newnan Utilities employee, call 911 and then call us at 770-683-5516.
