Service Restoration After Tornado

Important Information For Customers Affected By The Tornado

April 2, 2021 — To our customers affected by the tornado: Many of you had to have an electrician complete work on your home before power could be turned back on. Please know that as the electricians turn in their required documents to the city, we are working through that list as quickly as possible to restore your service.
For everyone’s safety, we have to follow this process, but rest assured, we are working to get everyone reconnected as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience with us. #NewnanStrong

March 30, 2021 — Update Five Days Following The EF-4 Tornado

1) If customers are experiencing water or plumbing issues, please contact our office at 770-683-5516.  It is common following significant storms for debris to be trapped in pipes.

2) If you have had electrical repairs done to your home, power WILL NOT be restored until a State of Georgia Card holder electrician made the repairs and has submitted an affidavit to the City. CLICK HERE FOR AFFIDAVIT FORM. After that, an inspection must be completed by the City before Newnan Utilities can reconnect your power. For questions about this process, please contact the City of Newnan 770-253-2682.
