Perry Street Utility Project

Newnan Utilities will begin utility work on Perry Street the week of April 6, 2026. The project includes replacing 15 aging electric utility poles to improve reliability and the corridor’s overall appearance.

Work will involve Newnan Utilities, Service Electric Co., the City of Newnan Public Works Department, and telecommunications crews transferring existing services. Work will occur in phases, and traffic impacts will be limited to the active work area.

Planned outages may be necessary during certain phases of construction. Affected customers will be notified in advance whenever possible.

 

Current Work Area

Phases 1, 2 & 3 are complete.

Crews have finished work in these areas, and the project has moved into its final phase.

Phase 4 was completed Thursday, April 30.
