Newnan Utilities will begin planned electric utility work at the intersection of W. Broad Street and Brown Street on Thursday, April 30th. The project includes replacing 2 aging electric utility poles to improve reliability. Work will involve Newnan Utilities, Service Electric Co., the City of Newnan Public Works Department, and telecommunications crews transferring existing services.

• Planned outages may be necessary during certain phases of construction.
• Affected customers will be notified in advance whenever possible.
• Some work may require road closures.

Georgia has issued a Level 1 Drought Response. Newnan Utilities is continuing to monitor conditions and encourages customers to use water wisely.

Simple steps like fixing leaks, turning off the tap when not in use, and only watering when needed can make a difference.
