Annual Hydrant Flushing
Beginning Wednesday, May 20, Newnan Utilities crews will begin annual citywide hydrant flushing as part of routine water system maintenance. Hydrant flushing helps maintain water quality, ensures hydrants are operating properly, and supports fire protection throughout our system.
Customers may notice temporary discoloration or brief changes in water pressure while flushing is taking place in their area. Learn more about why we flush hydrants here: newnanutilities.org/water/fire-hydrant-flushing.
Level 1 Drought Response
Georgia has issued a Level 1 Drought Response. Newnan Utilities is continuing to monitor conditions and encourages customers to use water wisely.
Simple steps like fixing leaks, turning off the tap when not in use, and only watering when needed can make a difference.
