Beginning Monday, November 2, Townsend, a contractor working on behalf of Newnan Utilities, will perform routine tree trimming near electric lines in portions of our service area.
This important maintenance helps protect electrical equipment, support reliable electric service and reduce the risk of outages caused by falling limbs and overgrown vegetation. Customers may see Townsend crews and equipment in their area while the work is underway.
Carl Miller Park will temporarily close beginning Monday, November 9, as crews begin removing the guard shack at the park entrance. This work will improve access to the park by making it easier for vehicles, particularly buses and other larger vehicles, to enter and exit.
The entire park will remain closed until work is complete. Carl Miller Park will reopen on Saturday, November 14. Once the park reopens, visitors may experience temporary changes to traffic flow near the entrance as construction continues. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve access to Carl Miller Park.

Newnan Utilities crews are nearing completion of routine water valve exercising on the west side of town.
This maintenance helps ensure water valves are operating properly and supports the reliability of our water system. As the project wraps up, crews may continue working during nighttime and weekend hours.
No road closures are expected. We appreciate our customers’ patience as we complete this important maintenance.
