Our Commitment to You

Newnan Utilities is committed to water conservation and encourages timely repair of leaks.

We provide water to each meter, and customers are responsible for maintaining their water and irrigation systems beyond the meter, including any water lost from leaks or broken lines.

Newnan Utilities may offer a leak adjustment as a courtesy. Please keep in mind:

  • Requests must be made within 60 days of the bill date.
  • You must provide proof the leak was repaired, either:
    • A receipt for supplies (if you fixed it yourself), or
    • A receipt from a licensed plumber.
  • Only one adjustment is allowed per 12 months.
  • The adjustment can cover one leak only, and it may include up to your two most recent statements.
  • A site visit may be required to confirm the repair.
  • A leak adjustment is a partial reimbursement and not guaranteed.
